What is your favorite brand (or ad) and why? Chris Craft.
I associate the name with a legacy of craftsmanship and beautiful design. My family didn't have a Chris Craft growing up but I sure admired the boats. I love the older wooden classics, but bought a 1970 17' inboard fiberglass beauty on ebay two years ago and i love it.

What is your creative process?
Trust that the ideas will come, clear your head and let it happen. Focus on the problem or situation intensely with a confidence there is a great idea and you will find it, then relax. Repeat the sequence repeatedly until you have overlapping images and thoughts. Let them stack up in your mind and then sort through for the best ones. Stay on deadline. Always write down ideas when you have them. They can evaporate like a good dream if you don't.

What's your favorite thing about MLT? Why?
I love solving problems and seeing original ideas take shape. It's a pure joy to be part of that process each day and to work with like-minded people I like so much.

If you could be any advertising character, who would you choose? Why?
I like the Punchy cartoon guy for Hawaiin Punch. He takes care of business with one punch.

at a curious stage of mid-life and still learning as I go.

What is your core belief?
The Golden Rule is a good place to start, followed by "Never let yourself be a prisoner of your own routine"

How do you unwind after a day at the office?
Honestly? Barco-lounger, cold beer or two*, and the nightly news switching between CNN, Fox, MSNBC and C-Span.
*sometimes ice cream will do

What are your hidden talents?
I am a pretty damn good chess player if I do say so myself
