Glenn Taylor

Partner/Senior Creative Director

Years of relevant work experience:
Almost three decades and still counting (it's scary)

Graduated from:
In 1957, I began a lifetime scholarship in the Fred B. Taylor School of Design, where I still learn something from my father's industry experience almost every day. I also had a productive period in the late 70s attending the Commercial Art Program at Dekalb Technical College. Studied architecture very briefly at Georgia Tech as well.

What is your creative process?
I like finding the solution within the problem and refining it until it shines. Developing a final concept that appears, once it is finished to be really simple, can be very exhilarating.

What's your favorite thing about MLT? Why?
The people and the clients we work with everyday. I enjoy seeing the growth of the staff as they go through some of the same learning experiences that I have had over my career. I am also lucky to have met and worked alongside some great clients that have allowed me to develop some great ideas and grow as an individual.

What is your favorite brand (or ad) and why?
Airstream. American designed and manufactured in Jackson Center, Ohio. A true American icon that is recognized for its timeless design the world over and built on the philosophy of "Let's not make any changes - let's make only improvements!" They have evangelized the yearning for the open road and wanderlust for over 75 years with their motto, See More, Live More and Do More. They recognize the value of excellent design and build products with fine craftsmanship that last a lifetime.

If you could be any advertising character, who would you choose? Why?
Shoney's Big Boy. Let's just say, I can relate on many levels.

What is your core belief?
That most things work out just as they should, even if it doesn't always seem like it at the time.

What are your hidden talents?
To be able to finally realize that most things are not nearly as important as they often seem at the time.

Name one thing not many people know about you:
I worked a summer job to help construct the 1976 US Open course at the Atlanta Athletic Club.
