B2B Social Media Success Formula Mixes Business with Pleasure

I enjoy business-to-business marketing, and I’’ve discovered many others with the same mindset through social media. When I began blogging and engaging on Twitter and LinkedIn, the first thing I realized is how much I have to learn regardless of my decades of experience. Through social media, I have also connected with thousands of other marketing, PR and creative professionals who share ideas and insights at a pace I could never achieve on my own.

b2b social mediaWhatever industry you’’re in, when you’’re marketing your business to other businesses, social media can be one of your most valuable resources and the best way ever to grow your network,– and your mind.

Social media is a very important part of an inbound marketing program and it can certainly help drive conversions and leads. But it’’s also about listening, learning and helpful thought leadership. The term social media shouldn’’t be limited to sites like Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, YouTube and foursquare. Business association events, industry trade shows, conferences and seminars should also be considered social media.

To some degree, you could argue any personal business engagement is an opportunity to be social. And isn’’t it more interesting the more you actually know,– and like,– the people you work with, whether you’’re buying and/or selling to them or not?

We are enjoying the benefits of social media here at MLT Creative, and we’’re hosting two upcoming events that are great examples:

BMA Atlanta meeting with Jay Baer at the Ravinia

What: MLT Creative is bringing Jay Baer – noted social media strategist and author of The NOW Revolution: Shifts to Make Your Business Faster, Smarter, and More Social – to deliver the keynote address at the Atlanta chapter of the Business Marketing Association (BMA).

When: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 5
Where: Ravinia Club, 2 Ravinia Drive, Suite 100, Atlanta, Ga. 30346

Tres Agaves and PBR beverages will be served at the event, along with food from the Good Food Truck.

When: 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6
Where: The MLT Creative Idea Launch Lab, 4002 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Clarkston, Ga. 30021

All this activity can be linked either directly or indirectly to our engagement on social media and our “never quit learning,– make it fun,” philosophy.

Please join us at the BMA event for a fun, enlightening afternoon with Jay Baer, and if you’’re interested in one of the few seats we have for our private event the next evening at the Idea Launch Lab, please let me know ASAP!
