HubSpot Email Marketing Certification: What You Need To Know

HubSpot is back at it again with another marketing certification. This time it’s on email marketing. In this article, I’ll tell you who can benefit from getting this certification, what the classes contain and what you need to do to pass it.

Like all HubSpot’s certifications, the email certification is free and can be taken 100% online and at your own pace. It consists of 3 hours and 52 minutes of video and a 90 minute certification test. Once you pass the test you get a certification that you can put on your Linkedin profile or even share on Upwork.

Is it worth it?

I think this certification is definitely worth more than the time it takes. I would recommend this certification to anyone in marketing. Email is an integral part of any marketing strategy. Even though email isn’t a new phenomenon, it’s as relevant and effective as ever. It has changed a lot over the years, and this certification is a great way to stay up to date on the latest best practices.

How to make sure you pass

Make sure you prepare properly for the test to make sure you pass. In order to pass you have to score 75% or higher. You can take the test however many times you want. You have to wait 48 hours between the first three tries. If you fail all three times, you have to wait 30 days to try again.

The certification allows you to work at your own pace, which I highly recommend. Make sure to take breaks every hour or so to make sure you retain what you’re learning.

Take advantage of the study guide

Like all HubSpot certifications, the course comes with a study guide. A great way to make sure you retain information is to print out the study guide and fill it out as you go along. A lot of the questions on the test are pulled straight from the study guide. Keep that completed study with you in the test and you should be good to go.
