Real Eyes Realize: You Need to Visualize your B2B Content
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but, FYI if you are tweeting an image, it is worth 23 characters. As B2B marketers, we all understand the importance of ensuring all social media posts are relevant, engaging and valuable. But have you considered using more images in your B2B social media strategy?
In a recent HubSpot blog post, Amanda Sibley recommends that more B2B marketers should be including visual elements in social media strategies:
- Did you know that 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual, and visuals are processed 60,000X faster in the brain than text. It is also said that 40% of people will respond better to visual information than plain text.
- Research confirms that users make aesthetic decisions about the overall visual impression of web pages in as little as 50 milliseconds (1/20th of a second).
- Photos on Facebook outperform text updates, videos and links for likes, comments and shares.
So why limit yourself to 140 characters on Twitter or 70 characters in your blog title or 150 characters in your meta description? Make your B2B content visual, not just photos, but create infographics, Vines or videos, slideshows, or hijack a meme ( be sure to stay timely with this one). All of these visual methods can help create your brand identity and encourage brand loyalty.
