EMS Sky Connect offers a broad range of Iridium satellite-based tracking and voice systems in both commercial and government markets. The company approached MLT Creative to launch its new in-flight phone system, Forté, a rarity in the marketplace with a price point less than $20,000. The resulting initiative required mobilization in just five weeks.

Before delivering the campaign’s positioning, visual branding, key messaging and marketing strategy, MLT conducted extensive primary research. From the start, we aggressively targeted avionics dealers with landing pages, fact sheets, sales kits, POS and other resources to help train and prepare them for the sales opportunities ahead. The campaign kicked off just prior to a key industry show, at which MLT helped EMS Sky Connect achieve a compelling presence (including a tradeshow booth, literature, a special-invitation golf outing and various pre-event promotions to generate additional buzz). After the show, the product gained an important STC certification, just as the campaign built momentum. Throughout the year, email, direct mail and trade advertising continued the support of the dealer universe. The final portion of the campaign targeted end users. The overall campaign achieved high visibility and measured engagement – and helped EMS meet sales projections ahead of schedule.
